An exuberant, bizarre, gory horror-splatter-film with a surfeit of blood and effects. It wasn’t enough to be distasteful, because the effects also aspired to technical perfection.Lionel Cosgrove (25) lives in a house that is much too big with his mother who tyrannises him. His father died many years ago in suspicious circumstances. The life of Lionel who has not had a single experience with girls changes drastically when he meets the young Spanish girl Paquita. She works in her parents’ grocery store and is not worthy of her son, according to Lionel’s mother. One terrible day when mother is spying on her son, she is bitten in the zoo by a demonic ape and changes into a monster.After a fairly quiet start, the film turns into a bizarre and bloody slaughter of everything and everyone who comes near Lionel’s house. But Paquita isn’t easily scared off.
