Hans Kroon had selected the new documentary by Werner Herzog, Bells from the Deep, a film about religious cults in Russia today. However the only available copy is unfortunately reserved for Teheran. In view of the subject of the film, one assumes it will do well there. Kroon is considering a diffe¡rent choice which will be announced in the programme informa¡tion at the festival.As a short to accompany the main film, Hans Kroon chose the animation film The Wrong Trousers by Nick Park. Born in 1958 in Preston, Lancashire, Park made his first animation film at the age of thirteen. After his studies at the Sheffield Art School he drew the first adventure of his heroes Wallace & Gromit: A Grand Day Out (1989). That film won an Oscar a year later. The Wrong Trousers is also a comic thriller-adventure for Wallace & Gromit.
