Black & white film that translates poetry into film in two ways. There are beautifully-photographed images without text: long tightly-framed observations that are alternately stylised and documentary. And there are the texts declaimed by actors. Primarily two actors, an elderly and a young man. The film is characterised by a special kind of humour that is expressed when the actors interrupt the declamation of texts for ironic comments. In , poetry takes to the streets and the poet is occasionally drowned out by the noise of the bar. Schreiner used his experience making documentaries to make an original experiment that he sees as a quest with the camera to proofs of reality and love. The camera does not record something that was already there; what Schreiner wants to show only emerges once the camera starts to run.
