Unlike her earlier works, Donegan is not herself the performer in Scenes and Commercials, a family drama that is set during a Beach Boys rehearsal. On the soundtrack, the Wilson brothers try to record a tune, guided by the presence of father Murray. It is not easy to sit back and have good American fun.
