Wonderfully acted costume drama about the turbulent marriage of Sjoukje Bokma de Boer (bestknown under her writer’s pseudonym Nynke van Hichtum) to the Socialist leader Pieter Jelles Troelstra at the start of the last century. Winner of the Golden Calf for the best film of 2001. Spoken in Friesian.
