First a sketch of the film maker’s parents who live in a housing complex. Then the scene changes to the various ruins of housing complexes. Shirakawa Toshihiro: `This is my personal memorandum about time, space and movement, and it’s also an expression of my desire. Listening to my parent’s conversations, who are facing layoffs now, living in public housing takes the kind of presumption that you’ll become immigrants. It is exasperating to think that your identity is determined by the environment into which you were born, so my theme was to try to do something about that.’
