In hospital, grandmother’s life is hanging by a thread. One by one, the relatives drop by to say goodbye. Overcome by grief, they all find their own way of coping with the loss: quietly, practically, noisily or respectfully. The director manages to avoid all the pitfalls of sentimentality.
