Soundtrackcity Rotterdam: The City As Sound

A seminar on the metamorphosis of the city under the influence of sound. How is it that sound changes our perception of reality in a cinematic experience? And if our experience of reality has long since been turned into a film, what film are we in?
When we leave the cinema and go into town, are we playing a role, or are we directing the film? Are we in a soap, a thriller or a well-made documentary? Just like in the cinema, it is the soundtrack that determines this.
