Whereas some pregnant women succumb to a craving for chocolate, Ruth loses herself in bloody murder at the behest of her unborn child. British actress and screenwriter Alice Lowe (Sightseers, 2012) makes her directing debut (and plays the lead) with this humorous, feminist horror film that makes mincemeat of romantic notions of pregnancy.
