44 Houses
Direct naar zijbalk
Kari Fisher, accompanied by family and friends, revisits the many Canadian houses in which she has lived – comparing fuzzy memories with their present-day realities. There is an echo of James Benning’s autobiographical films, but in a completely different style: scratchy, jittery, black-and-white footage is paired with raw fragments of recorded sound. The abrasive materiality of the ‘glitch’ matters as much as the nostalgically affectionate content.
