Panorama Chemours – River reflections
Direct naar zijbalk
Michiel van Bakel, whose shorts have regularly featured in IFFR, combines scientific techniques of observation and recording with poetic treatments of image and sound. Here, a slow pan shot shows us the Chemours industrial plant next to the contaminated Merwede river, while photographic and digital processes reveal a hidden world of agitated, spectral colours and noises. It offers a paradoxical spectacle, combining lyrical beauty with disquieting horror.
