Smoke & Mirrors
Direct naar zijbalk
The work of Swedish-based British artist Tris Vonna-Michell crosses film, photography, performance, writing and installation. His subject matter is as deliberately hard to pin down as his combination of media. Smoke & Mirrors proceeds by verbal and visual free association, as Vonna-Michell, sitting in the ‘fabricated grotto’ of a sauna, recollects both his difficult acquisition of a defunct audiovisual company’s inventory, and the many cultural and personal memories this archive triggers within him.
