Sokyou Chea
Sokyou CHEA first attempted to create a film at the tender age of 13, using her father’s camcorder to remake a folktale story and turning the house into a film set. She studied in Vietnam, Singapore and the UK and is fluent in 4 languages. After creating a handful of short films, Tenement (2024), selected for IFFR’s 2024 Big Screen Competition, is her feature-length debut.
