Anka Sasnal
Anka SASNAL (1973, Poland) is a director and scriptwriter. She lives and works in Kraków. She co-directed her feature debut, It Looks Pretty from a Distance (2011), with her husband, the painter and filmmaker Wilhelm Sasnal. The film had its international premiere at IFFR 2012 in the Tiger Competition. Anka was the scriptwriter for five of the seven feature films directed by Wilhelm, including The Sun, The Sun Blinded Me (2014) and Huba/Parasite (2014). The Assistant (2025) is the pair’s most recent feature and has its world premiere at IFFR in competition.
