Tabarak Abbas

Tabarak ABBAS Is a director of Iraqi origin and grew up in Geneva, Switzerland. When she was younger, she started painting, which led to her real passion, cinema. She graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor in Cinema from HEAD-Geneva (Haute école d’art et de design). Her first short UN PAPILLON (2021) was selected in the Schools Competition at the Int. Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, LES FANTÔMES DU PARADIS (2021) at the Geneva Int. Film Festival, and her graduation film MY HOMELAND (2023) won the Prix Art et Humanité in 2023.
